Although I have already raised 4 children, I still have one young teen left in the house. Now that I am older and have more experience, I thought that I would write down some pointers for my teenaged daughter.

Helping In The Home
These past several days, I have been in bed, sick, unable to get up much and was in desperate need for a hand around the house. Unlucky for me being sick with something I think I ate that was wrong, but lucky in the fact that my darling daughter was at home to help me out. I am so thankful that I have been teaching her how to cook, as she made me breakfast (scrambled eggs with toast) and bought me juice. Not only that, teaching her how to help around the house, she not only vaccumed the floors for me, but got a few loads of laundry done. I wanted to teach her that doing for others, especially when in need was something that should be done willingly, and without any backtalk, and I was so happy that she did so with a smile on her face. Maybe she's growing up, or perhaps she sees how doing for me also later in turn allows her more outings. Either way, I really have to thank her for doing so much for me when I needed her most. Does your teen help you around the house?
