Although I have already raised 4 children, I still have one young teen left in the house. Now that I am older and have more experience, I thought that I would write down some pointers for my teenaged daughter.

Christmas Was Great
My darling daughter, pretty much a growing teen, sometimes too big for her own britches really did have a great Christmas this year. She recieved many wonderful gifts. She also gave some gifts this year as well. She has become to learn that not everyone has money to buy gifts and essentially learning that Christmas is not about gifts, but family and friends, good food and family time. She learned first hand that some children wouldn't even have had gifts if it weren't for the good hearts that some people have for others. Every one that I know of this past Christmas spent less on gifts, and that is because our economy is not so good. Children need to learn that it's not about how many gifts we get, but what you have. Teaching a teen about real living and what life is all about, especially on Christmas is very important.
